“The vibe is good, if you enjoy having lunch in a huge beer and wine store. However, the sandwiches are so good, it’s well worth it!
“I have yet to have anything here that isn’t worth the trip from Richardson. They make the best sandwiches I’ve had in the Dallas area.One of the largest and best organized beer selections I’ve ever seen. If its got distribution in Dallas its probably here. Paradise for the beer lover. They get lots of special stuff in stock all the time. Huge selection of Belgian styles.
“Two huge pluses: Almost everything is refridgerated. So you can grab and go home and drink right away. Second plus – they let you break up the six packs. I don’t abuse this policy and I don’t take individual bottles when it compromises the packaging (i.e. Sam Adams imperial line, Boulevard boxes) but when I go on my weekly beer restocking mission I grab a couple bottles to try along with whatever else I get. For a beer lover this is HUGE HUGE HUGE that they let you do this and the #1 reason I don’t shop at S&K on 75 even though its closer to my house.

“Easily the best deli restaurant in the entire Dallas area. I didn’t even notice the deli when I first went there, I thought it was just a beer and wine store (probably because their hours are so limited so the deli was closed whenever I went there). That being said their beer and wine selection is overwhelming, then at the back of the store is the deli…They have such an incredible selection of deli sandwiches, I’ve been going there several times a month for a while now and still haven’t tried everything on the menu! Grab a sandwich from this place some time, you won’t be disappointed!”

“Beer and wine selection is pretty good. But I’m going to review the deli. We decided to try the deli out for lunch a few weeks ago. Wow, the selection was a little overwhelming. Everyone in our 6 person group enjoyed their lunch. I had the philly cheesesteak and dare I say, I liked it better than Fred’s! The bread was awesome and it had lots of onions and peppers but not so much that it overpowered the meat. Yum! Quite happy to go back again and try something else!”

“I ordered #11 Mrs G’s Reuben and the hubs ordered #76 Italian Beef & Peppers Philly. They both disappeared from our “plates” in a flash! Highly recommend!

“In the crazy patchwork quilt that is Texas alcohol laws (some areas are wet, some are ‘moist’ and some are dry – and they don’t supply you a map to find out where they are!) this is the place to go for a humongous selection of beers and wines. (No hard liquor – it’s in a beer-and wine only sales area.) And if you’re hungry, there’s a deli in the back. Fresh breads and meats, plenty of selections from the mundane to the exotic.”

“Mr. G’s is just about perfection for beer and wine lovers. It’s three to four times bigger than your average beer and wine place, and most of the space is dedicated to good quality stuff. Huge selection of craft, micro, import, and specialty beers. The best variety is of Belgian and Belgian style ales, from light and fruity, to dry and heavy.
“Stout, IPA, you name it, they carry it. They rotate things out a lot so there is always something new to try. They also carry bar ware, and gave a small selection of beer glasses. Staff is friendly and always have good recommendations.”

“This will be a review of their beer as I have not had anything from the deli yet. I have to say that this place has one of the best selections of beer that I have ever seen.
“Luckily, I live 2 blocks away. They have an awesome selection of beer and rotate out frequently so there is always something new to try. If you don’t know what you like you can grab an empty 6′r and just grab whatever singles you want right out of the cooler.
“They are very quick to get the seasonal selections out I have found their customer service to be just fine. There are some folks there that definitely know more than others but overall this place is great.”

“They do sell Beer and Wine, very very nice selection on both… but this review is for the Deli. Hands down its the best in town. They have tons of choices. Its more New York style than Jason’s Deli style. Do it right and get a Reuben your first time (they have over a dozen kinds of reubens). My favorite is the Tex-Mex Reuben with Double Meat. Their roast beef is out of sight! They cook it over night, and it tastes as such. They’re reasonably priced, but not cheap.”
